United Way Delhi (UWD)
Cargill shares a global relationship with United Way International, one of the largest US based, nonprofit funding NGO. Cargill India took the leadership initiative to bring United Way International to Delhi.
Cargill is the founder member of United Way of Delhi (UWD) and Siraj Chaudhry (Country Head - Cargill India) serves as the Vice Chair on the board of UWD. Launched in November 2008, UWD is taking some good initiatives in the areas of Livelihood, Education, Healthcare and also supporting NGOs with innovative initiatives and perspective.
UWD realizes that the urban poverty and marginalization of the community is a serious issue and it focuses in Delhi-NCR area. UWD also collaborates with the Delhi Govt. Mission Convergence Program to bring Corporate Volunteers.
