Cargill has just begun to support a rural residential school, Rabbani School is located at the Susera Village of Gwalior district in Madhya Pradesh. It was established in 1977 through a donation. This school serves as a center for education and practical training and exposure in agricultural practices and animal farming, it is popularly also known as the Rabbani Agricultural School amongst the local populace. It serves around 350 students, divided in two segments, primary with 100 students and secondary with 250 students.
The Rabbani School also partners with the local villagers for community development through literacy programs and community health initiatives. School provides boarding facilities and full scholarship to around 70 students. Cargill is funding their infrastructure expansion by constructing additional 6 classrooms, toilets blocks for boys and girls and also getting a bus for getting the girl students from the nearby villages. Today the girl students ratio is alarmingly low (27 out of 350 students).
